Metaphor: ReFantazio Guide & Tips

Metaphor: ReFantazio is a fantasy RPG developed by Studio Zero and published by ATLUS, released in October 2024. Created by the Persona team, it transplants social simulation and turn-based combat into a medieval fantasy setting. The story follows a protagonist competing in a royal tournament to claim the throne of Euchronia. The Followers system tracks relationships with key characters representing different ideals. Time management remains central with a calendar system. Combat uses a dual approach: weak enemies can be dispatched through real-time Fast Action, while tough encounters use turn-based mode similar to Press Turn from Shin Megami Tensei. The world is traversed via the Gauntlet Runner mobile fortress. Travel between locations takes in-game days, during which players can interact with party members and craft items.
Time management is the most important aspect. Plan days around Follower availability and dungeon deadlines. Social stats gate certain Follower ranks, so invest early. In combat, exploit Fast Action for trash mobs. The Archetype inheritance system is powerful; plan which skills to inherit before investing time in a class.

Trainer Tips

The RG trainer includes max money, max social stats, instant Archetype mastery, and infinite health. Instant Archetype mastery allows rapid experimentation with class combinations. The trainer does not advance the in-game calendar, so time management decisions still matter.
