Do boss battles make games more exciting?

Boss battles make gaming more exciting for me because I get to fight against strong and powerful opponents. It allows me to put almost everything I've learned so far in the game to the test. It makes me feel accomplished to beat the big boss. So, how about you? Do boss battles make games more exciting?

Bosses games such as Elden Ring, Dark souls series and the rest makes it a fun time beating those Bosses. It kinda make one to be creative when it relates to beating those Bosses at each mission. That being said, which one has been your favourite so far?
