All those who belonged to the previous generations started to criticise the younger generation saying that they have been emasculated out of social nd ethical morals because they are made addicted to social media and electronics due to these games.

How far do you agree with statements such as these? Do you think gaming has flushed ethics and social conduct from our generation?

I don't agree, the modern generation has become more civilized than the older generation. Previous generation exercised cruelty in the name of cultural appropriation. These days people give more importance to individualism. The old people blame social media but they don't know the current generation has utilized social media to educate themselves, to stand for certain causes, and even use it for building career.

This is correct as I think the younger generation are looking for how to make social media work in their favour. Instead of criticising them, I am of the opinion that the older generation should ask the relevant questions which will help update their knowledge.

I am with you on this regard. It has become a habit for older generations to criticize younger generation

I don’t fully agree with that view. I’ve seen gaming and social media can sometimes distract, but they don’t automatically erase ethics or social conduct. For example, many young people still volunteer, collaborate, and engage responsibly online and offline, it’s about balance, not total loss of values.

It is surely about finding a balance because that is what is important for effective communication can take place. So, one should understand what is changing and how we all need to align with the values that have changed in the gaming industry.

Ethics are important as a gamer. Fair play, respect for others, and honesty not only make games more enjoyable for everyone but also build a positive community and reputation within gaming spaces.
