Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation Plus, and EA Play give access to massive libraries. But do you actually play enough to justify monthly costs? Are these subscriptions saving money or quietly encouraging us to spend more on gaming overall?

Whether it is a good value or hidden trap depends on how much you play. I don't play games too much so I don't buy gaming subscriptions.

If you are an active player, then you are better off subscribing to some of those services because they would allow you to play more games. It would be difficult for someone always busy to be able to benefit from it.
