Setup

Desktop

1. Extract ZIP
2. Run in PowerShell:
   

   npm install
   npm start

3. Optional:
   

   npm run make:portable

Mobile

1. Upload PWA ZIP to your forum hosting
2. On mobile, open → “Add to Home Screen”
3. Scan QR code in desktop app

We’ve published a cross-platform update with an operational file-based mod manager and manifest-aware installs.

Highlights​

• Windows + macOS desktop app (same project)
• Manifest support (mod.json) for precise file placement
• ZIP install with automatic backups and one-click restore
• Safe extraction (no path traversal; docs ignored)
• Mobile PWA companion (manage/pair; not for applying mods)

Quick Start​

cd desktop/electron npm install npm start
Optional bundling:
npm run pack:win (Windows)
npm run pack:mac (macOS; Control-click → Open on first run)

PWA (mobile): upload /mobile/pwa/ to your site (e.g., /apps/rival-engine/) and “Add to Home Screen”.
