Do you think playing video games too much or too often can make a person violent? Why or why not?

I don't see it being a reason anyone could be violent unless we are talking about the kids. A lot of times, I don't even let any game that I've played get to me that much.

I wasn't allowed to play anything too violent when I was a kid. I was mostly playing things like various Mario games when I was a kid.

I don't think that video games make you violent.....I think a person is already violent to begin with.

I don't think video games can make people violent. It can certainly make people aggressive but that's temporary, until they are playing. Afterwards they will normalize. However, I also believe children shouldn't be allowed to play violent games as they cannot distinguish facts and fictions and violent games might affect them badly.

The link between video games and violence is often debated. I’ve observed that most players can separate game actions from real life, but excessive exposure to violent games combined with other risk factors might increase aggression in some individuals. For example, playing a shooter for a short session is usually harmless, but long, unmoderated play might make certain players more irritable or impulsive temporarily. Context, personality, and moderation play a big role in how games influence behavior.
