Best looking games of 2026 so far

My picks: Stalker 2 patched, Avowed, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. What are yours?

Stalker 2 after patches looks unbelievable. The Zone at sunrise is something else.

Clean build. Keychron boards are really good value.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is the right answer if you're talking about something that actually runs at the same time as it looks impressive. Bohemia managed something most big studios haven't — a visually dense open world without the slideshow. STALKER 2 post-patches has atmosphere that most games can't buy with a larger budget. Avowed looked good in screenshots but felt oddly flat in motion to me, which is a shame given the obvious effort in the art direction.

RDR2 still holds up better than half the stuff releasing now. I know it's a few years old but I fired it up again last week and it still looks ridiculous. STALKER 2 I'll give credit to — some of those outdoor areas are genuinely striking.
