Once common, demos are rare today, replaced by betas or trailers. Do you miss trying before buying? Did any demo ever convince you to purchase a game instantly? Should demos make a comeback?

These days early paid accesses are available and those who want to try demo can still play by buying game access. I think early access and demos can influence sales but I am not someone who likes to play demo or early access. I play only when the game is released in full version.

I focused more on reviews instead of demos when it came to buying games. I delay getting games early because I wouldn't want to spend money on a game that I don't like.

I think game demos can still influence purchases, but their impact depends on the type of game and how they’re done. A good demo lets players test gameplay, mechanics, and atmosphere before committing, which builds trust. On the other hand, if a demo is too short or poorly designed, it can actually push people away.

That is right because even when I don't focus too much on demos, I believe that a poorly done one would cause issues for the publishers as many players would give a bad remark about the game.

Of course it is the demo that will make people decide whether they want to buy or not. I have played a lot of demos which I was not impressed with, so I did not go ahead to make purchase.
