Discussion Has anyone got into Pacific Drive? Not sure what I think of it

Damo convinced me to grab it on sale last week. Halfway through and it's kind of got me. The whole thing is weirdly tense for a driving game. Still not sure if I love it or if it's just the autosave anxiety talking. Anyone else played it?

Yeah I grabbed it not long after launch. The autosave tension is the whole game honestly — you never feel fully safe which is unusual for a driving game. It clicked for me around the same point you're at. If it's got you by the halfway mark you'll probably finish it. If the loop starts to feel repetitive before that it might not be for you, but sounds like you're in the zone.

I picked it up a while back and had the same reaction. The first hour is genuinely disorienting — there is no clear explanation of what you are supposed to be doing or why. Once the resource loop and the garage mechanics clicked it made much more sense. The atmosphere is unlike most things I have played recently. Worth sticking with it past the initial confusion.
