Undervolting is free performance. Your GPU runs cooler, quieter, and sometimes even faster because it doesn't thermal throttle. Here's how I did it on my RTX 4070:

1. Open MSI Afterburner and press Ctrl+F to open the voltage/frequency curve
2. Find the point where your GPU currently boosts to (mine was 2700MHz at 1.05V)
3. Click the point at a lower voltage that matches the same frequency (I chose 2700MHz at 0.925V)
4. Press Shift+Enter to lock it, then Apply
5. Run a stress test (Furmark or Time Spy) for 30 minutes to check stability

Dropped my temps by 12 degrees and gained about 3% performance because the card stopped throttling. Zero downsides.

Good write up. I did this on my 4060 Ti and got similar results. About 10C drop in temps. The card barely ramps its fans now.

Been meaning to try this. Does it void the warranty?

No. Undervolting doesn't push the card beyond spec, it does the opposite. And you can reset to defaults instantly in Afterburner. Totally safe.
