Welcome to Rival Gaming!

New week, new games. Drop what you are playing below. Anyone picked up anything new lately? Still working through a backlog or jumping into something fresh? Any surprises this week - good or bad?

Better late than never Marc. You've been one of the most active members already so no introduction needed really, but welcome officially.

Appreciate the feedback. That's exactly what we were going for. More rewards and community features coming soon.

Yeah I’m pretty much the same. I’ll happily play free ones, but I’m not really into spending on mobile games. If I ever do, it’s only a couple quid and usually just to get rid of ads or because I’ve actually been playing it a lot. The constant in-app purchases are what put me off more than...

Yeah same here, PC Gamer used to be my go-to as well. Fell off it for a while but it’s still surprisingly active when you actually check back in. I think these days I just end up getting bits from everywhere rather than one main site, but PC Gamer’s still solid for proper write-ups when...

This week Epic is giving away Cities: Skylines II. Pretty solid freebie. Always worth checking every Thursday.

My picks: Stalker 2 patched, Avowed, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. What are yours?

Found a setup that works: SMAA, Clarity 0.4, LumaSharpen, slight Levels adjustment. 2-3 FPS cost. Works in basically any game.

Looking at the release calendar for the next few months and there are some solid titles coming. Personally hoping we get trainer support for some of the bigger RPGs. Already put in a request for a couple on the Game Requests page. What games are you looking forward to?

Monday competitive, Wednesday co-op, Friday party games. Need 4-6 regulars. Drop a reply if interested.

Always looking to improve. Drop your ideas here. We built the trainer hub, wiki, leaderboards, and clan system from community feedback. What should come next?

Hope everyone survived this weeks community challenge. No trainers allowed and the boss rush was absolutely punishing. Props to everyone who completed it. We will be posting the leaderboard results tomorrow.

IsThereAnyDeal, SteamDB, GG.deals. Always check price history before buying in a sale.

Skyrim BethINI, Fallout 4 Boston FPS Fix, Cyberpunk FrameGen Ghosting Fix, GTA V PackFile Limit Adjuster. BethINI alone gives 15-20 FPS in some areas.

Still working through the Cyberpunk DLC. Phantom Liberty is genuinely one of the best expansions I have played in years.

Looking forward to trying it this weekend. We will probably have trainer support updated for it within a few days too.

We started as a trainer community but we have grown into something bigger. New gaming discussion forums, PC tech help, deals tracking, mods section, LFG, and screenshots. Trainers are not going anywhere - they are still core. But now there is more reason to stick around.

Out of space on 1TB NVMe. Need more storage. Is another NVMe worth it or would a 2TB SATA SSD be fine for game load times?

Still on Windows 10 and it has been rock solid. Keep hearing Win 11 is better with DirectStorage. Anyone made the switch? Real performance difference or just marketing?
