With remakes like Resident Evil 4 and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, are developers giving fans fresh experiences or recycling old titles? Do you enjoy remakes for nostalgia, or do you think they stifle new ideas in gaming?
Some remakes make games better because when they remake games they create better graphics thus giving better game experience. However, some game remakes are clearly crash grabs.
I've played some cool and amazing remakes while there are others which are not that good. I guess that most devs should be sure that remaking a classic game is worth it before they go ahead to build one.
I think game remakes can be both. Some remakes modernized gameplay and graphics creatively. But some remakes feel like cash grabs, offering little new content beyond improved visuals while charging full price.

Game remakes can go either way. Some are genuine creative efforts, updating graphics, mechanics, and storytelling for modern players while keeping the spirit of the original. Others feel rushed, relying on nostalgia to make easy money. It really depends on the developer’s intent.

I agree. I’ve noticed that well-done remakes feel fresh, making them enjoyable even for longtime fans. But some remakes feel like cash grabs, showing minimal effort beyond improved visuals.
