In the gaming console world, the Xbox consoles and the PlayStation consoles are the leading brands. Recently, it looks like PlayStation consoles are in the driving seat in terms of sales and market shares.

However, when it comes to picking the best console that gave you a great experience playing their games, which one would you pick?

Honestly, I’ve had great experiences on both consoles, but I’d lean toward PlayStation because of the exclusives.

That said, Xbox has some amazing titles too, especially with Game Pass. I’m curious for you, is it the exclusive games, the controller feel, or something else that makes a console your favorite?

I played more on PlayStation consoles also because of the exclusives that it had, such as Bloodborne, God of War Ragnarok, and Horizon Forbidden West.

It was obvious that Sony was putting more effort into ensuring that it had the best exclusives and that drew most players to be playing their games.

Those exclusives are a huge reason people stick with PlayStation.

I remember losing hours in Bloodborne… did any of these games completely take over your free time like that?

I had that experience with God of War Ragnarok where I became addicted to playing it to the point that I even missed my meals sometimes. Games such as that made my gaming experience with the PlayStation 5 an amazing one.

Grew up on PlayStation so I've always leaned that way, but I've been PC only for the past few years and there's no going back. The modding, the trainers, the ability to just tweak things however you want — consoles can't touch that.

PC is the honest answer but if we're talking consoles it's PlayStation. The exclusives are just on a different level. Xbox hasn't had a real system seller in years. Not even close to debatable at this point.

PC was always the dominant platform here in the Netherlands -- the console market never quite took hold the way it did in the UK or US. So for me the answer has always been PC by default, not really a choice I had to think about. That said, I can understand the appeal of a console for someone who does not want to think about drivers or compatibility. That said, the exclusives argument cuts both ways -- there are plenty of things you simply cannot get on console either.
