One is required to join a server online in most games that we play online, and that means that there are chances that you join one where some members are looking to see who they can bully. Have you ever joined one recently? What was your experience like?

Yeah, I’ve definitely run into servers like that. Sometimes it’s fine and everyone’s chill, but other times you get people who just want to start trouble, and it can really kill the vibe.

I usually leave those servers pretty quickly. How about you had any good or bad experiences lately?

I've not had any bad experience lately joining such severs where some members are out to make it quite unbearable for many others. I've been in some in the past and it didn't end well for me.

Yeah, it happens. The worst ones are usually smaller servers where there's no real moderation — just a couple of friends who made a Discord and left it open. The bigger communities tend to sort themselves out eventually, or people leave.

Honestly the best thing you can do is just find a group that already has a decent culture and stick with it. Harder to find, but worth it when you do.

Mostly single-player so I rarely encounter this directly. The few times I've ventured into multiplayer over the years the experience has generally confirmed why I tend to avoid it. It's not that the games are bad — it's that a certain kind of person seems specifically attracted to anonymity and an audience. I find I don't take it personally. I simply leave, and go back to Morrowind, where the NPCs have the courtesy to be rude to my face.
