Usually whatever's easy after work. Beer counts as a snack right? If I'm doing a long session I'll grab some Shapes or Tim Tams from the pantry. Bec thinks I eat like a tradie which, fair enough.

Subnautica got me in a way I didn't see coming. That point where the music drops out and you realise how far down you've gone. Not sad exactly, just this weight to it. Damo said he felt the same and he never admits that kind of thing, so I knew it had actually hit.

Damo described Pacific Drive as 'only worth playing if you enjoy suffering' and then looked at me like that was going to put me off it. Ended up being one of my favourite sessions in months once you figure out what it wants from you. Cheers Damo.

Sons of the Forest is probably the benchmark for this. The trees have that wet, overgrown look that actually feels right — especially at night near the caves. Green Hell does it too, that jungle density gets properly uncomfortable after a while. Damo hated both of them for exactly that reason...

Valheim with Damo is probably the best co-op I've had in years. All that emergent stuff where everything goes sideways and you just handle it together. It Takes Two looks like a completely different vibe but I'd try it. Bec might actually sit down for that one.

Damo's been talking about this one for weeks. Not really my usual thing but the footage looks pretty hectic. Might give it a go if the reviews hold up.

Honestly I'm winding down for the night. Long arvo at work and I just wanted something mindless. Ended up in Pacific Drive again, which somehow isn't mindless at all, but that's fine.

Reckon Pacific Drive is worth a look if you haven't tried it. Weird game but heaps atmospheric. Bec thought I'd lost it when she saw me talking to my car.

Single player's where I spend most of my time honestly. Can hop on and off whenever which suits having Ned around — he demands attention at inconvenient moments.

Ned fell asleep on my lap halfway through a Rust session last week. Didn't want to move him so just sat there for another hour. Ended up being a decent session actually.

Back on Sons of the Forest tonight with Damo. We've been trying to set up a proper base camp and keep dying to cannibals every time we push out. Might be a late one. Bec already went to bed.

Quick one before work. Managed to get a couple hours into Subnautica last night — finally making progress on the base. Ned kept trying to get my attention but I was too far in to stop.

Back in Valheim this week. We got a server going with Damo and a couple of other mates. Started a new world because nobody could remember where we were up to on the old one. Been three hours already tonight and I'm not even close to stopping.

Depends entirely on the game for me. Rust and anything competitive — keyboard and mouse, no question. But for slower stuff like Valheim or Sons of the Forest I'll grab the controller. Just feels more relaxed, especially late arvo when I'm not trying to sweat. Damo thinks it's heresy but he plays...

Started playing Sea of Thieves again recently and it's so much better with a crew. Looking for 1-2 more people to sail with. We play on PC but it's crossplay so Xbox works too. Usually on Friday and Saturday evenings, UK time. We're not sweaty about it, just want to do voyages and have a laugh.

The wind navigation system alone is genius. Never needed a minimap once. Beautiful and functional.

Where does everyone check for deals? I use IsThereAnyDeal but wondering if there are others worth bookmarking. Looking specifically for historical price tracking so I know if a deal is actually good or just a mediocre discount.
