Discussion What do you miss from older games?

Jake's point about demos is a good one. There was a real accountability to them -- the developer had to show you something worth playing before asking for your money. That model has been entirely replaced by refund windows and early access, neither of which is quite the same thing. What I miss...

Showcase Red Dead Redemption 2 photo mode is still unmatched

I know RDR2 has been out for years now but honestly nothing else comes close to its photo mode. The lighting, the landscapes, the way fog rolls through the valleys at dawn. Every screenshot looks like a painting. Just spent an hour riding through the Grizzlies taking shots instead of doing any...

Discussion What are the best 5 single-player games of all time?

I'd push back slightly on Half-Life 2 as a definitive all-time pick -- it's an extraordinary technical achievement for its era but the writing is quite thin. Planescape: Torment, Morrowind, Gothic II, Baldur's Gate 2 -- these are the games that actually had something to say. That said, Disco...

News Game Pass adding some solid titles in May

Still think Game Pass is the best deal in gaming. Between this and the back catalogue there's genuinely more games than I have time for.

Discussion Best Cyberpunk 2077 mods in 2026?

Cyber Engine Tweaks is essential - it's the mod framework most other mods depend on. After that: - Better Vehicle Handling - Improved Minimap (zooms out properly when driving) - Appearance Menu Mod (change your look without stats) Those three make the biggest quality of life difference.

Request Request: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Yes please. The Vatican section nearly broke me. Would definitely use a trainer for a second playthrough to just enjoy the exploration.

Help Trainer not detecting game after Steam update

Had the same thing happen with Cyberpunk after a patch. New trainer version came out the next day and it was sorted. Just keep an eye on the hub.

Discussion What game have you replayed the most times?

Skyrim. Not even close. Hundreds of hours across multiple characters over the years. And then mods add another lifetime of content.

    PC Baldur's Gate 3 co-op - starting a fresh run

BG3 co-op is genuinely one of the best multiplayer experiences I've had. The chaos that happens when everyone makes different dialogue choices is brilliant. Would join if the timing works.

Showcase Cyberpunk at night with ray tracing is something else

Makes me want to upgrade from my 3080. Those reflections in the rain are incredible.

Discussion What trainers do you use the most?

Curious what trainers are the most popular here. Personally I use the GTA V trainer almost daily and the Elden Ring one whenever I'm trying out new builds. The infinite stamina option in Elden Ring is basically essential for exploring without constantly resting.

Help GPU temperatures hitting 85C while gaming - is this too hot?

That's within spec for a 4070 Super under heavy load. Nvidia cards thermal throttle at 83C by default but the 40 series boosted that limit. You're fine.

Tutorial How to properly undervolt your GPU with MSI Afterburner

No. Undervolting doesn't push the card beyond spec, it does the opposite. And you can reset to defaults instantly in Afterburner. Totally safe.

Tutorial How to properly undervolt your GPU with MSI Afterburner

Undervolting is free performance. Your GPU runs cooler, quieter, and sometimes even faster because it doesn't thermal throttle. Here's how I did it on my RTX 4070: 1. Open MSI Afterburner and press Ctrl+F to open the voltage/frequency curve 2. Find the point where your GPU currently boosts to...

Discussion Anyone else using mods alongside trainers?

Yeah I run reshade presets alongside trainers on a few games. No issues as long as you launch the trainer first. The trainer hooks into memory while reshade hooks into the graphics pipeline so they don't really conflict.
